God, my Boundary

“I believe but . . .” That little word “but”, wipes out everything that went before it. To “believe but . . .”, is to say that we trust as far as our intellectual ability will take us and we will move forward only as reason sheds light on the next step. Such thinking places the Christian with the atheist!

The Christian believes that God is BEYOND finding out! Wow. . . Free-fall!!

God requires the kind of faith that Moses, Daniel, Jeremiah, and Paul displayed. These were men of advanced learning who recognized that the point where their intellectual powers could no longer give answers . . . . God began!

That’s true today as it was then. Man has unlocked deep mysteries of the cosmos. However, there are some truths that are outside the boundaries of reasoning. The absence of intellectual answers is not the absence of truth! The Bible states, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.

Dear Lord, May my search today take me to my intellectual edge so that unquestioning, I may take that stupendous leap of faith to You. Amen
