Morning Dew #9

God, my Protector

The above words were spoken by Elisha to his servant who had had a sleepless night worrying about the problems of the new day. The servant went walking just before dawn and saw on the horizon the armies of the enemy.  This threw him into a panic. He raced back to Elisha who did not panic at the news.

Elisha’s words are for us as well.  If we could only see the retinue of angels that God has sent for our protection we would not fear the efforts of humans. We only need to place our hands in God’s hands and wait on Him.

Dear Lord, You know how anxious I am about my future. Please open my eyes to see that You are here with me and that you have everything under control. Help me to confidently step into this day knowing that the battle is not mine but Yours. Amen.
